The Joachim Herz Foundation is committed to innovation and transfer from cutting-edge research so that more research results can be put into practice and generate social benefits. The foundation strengthens start-up ecosystems and supports a new generation of entrepreneurial talent to develop radical innovation and sustainable business models. By promoting young professionals in a professional world transformed by AI and digitalization, the foundation contributes to the renewal of vocational education. The aim is to provide effective solutions to current challenges such as climate protection, resource scarcity and the shortage of skilled workers. The foundation’s activities draw inspiration from the USA and strengthen the German-American dialog. The Joachim Herz Foundation was established in Hamburg in 2008 and is one of the largest German foundations.
With the activities in our “Think and Act Entrepreneurially” cluster, we want to help ensure that more innovative companies are founded in Germany, especially from the world of science. We promote entrepreneurship in the service of society and support the development of sustainable business models that contribute to solving the major problems of our time. With our projects, we want to awaken entrepreneurial spirit, empower young scientists (m/f/d) to found companies and strengthen the overall German ecosystem for spin-offs from science.
To support and further develop existing projects and to develop new formats, we are looking for you to start as soon as possible, full-time (40 hours/week), initially for 2 years, in Hamburg as:
