We are looking for an Azure Cloud & Plaform Engineer (all genders) for Mediaplus Germany as soon as possible.
What you can expect from us:
- Design, enablement and continuous development of Azure-based cloud platforms for scalable data and AI workloads
- Support domain and product teams with cloud enablement patterns, reference architectures, landing zones and platform standards
- Developing and enforcing reusable architecture blueprints, building blocks and guardrails, taking security, governance and compliance into account
- Ensuring operational excellence in terms of performance, stability, observability and cost efficiency (FinOps orientation)
- Conducting architecture reviews and evaluating internal and vendor-supplied solutions in terms of scalability, security, operability and costs
- Technical contact person for vendors, partners and stakeholders including quality assurance, integration, standardization and operational handover
- Enablement and governance of AI-supported platform functionalities such as LLM services, RAG architectures and agentic AI patterns in compliance with responsible AI and data protection principles
- Technical support and quality assurance for cloud-native data and AI pipelines (e.g. ADF, Databricks, Synapse, PySpark) including CI/CD, versioning and testing
- Supporting the development of data products according to data mesh principles with clear domain-oriented responsibility
- Definition, application and further development of uniform standards for security, RBAC, data classification, metadata, lineage, monitoring and data quality
- Close collaboration with security, privacy, governance, architecture and product stakeholders to implement privacy-by-design and compliant access models
- Creation of clear technical documentation, guidelines and best practice recommendations as well as active knowledge exchange in communities of practice
What we expect from you:
- Completed studies in computer science, data, AI, cloud engineering or a comparable qualification
- Practical experience with Azure cloud services and modern cloud-native architectures
- Sound knowledge of central Azure services (e.g. ADF, Databricks, Azure Storage, Networking, Identity)
- Very good know-how in at least two areas such as Python, SQL, CI/CD, Git, Infrastructure as Code or API integration
- Strong interest in scalable data and AI platforms, data mesh, data products and modern platform concepts
- Understanding of security, access control, privacy-by-design and data quality in cloud environments
- Ideally experience with LLM/RAG concepts and governance for AI solutions
- Analytical, structured way of working and a strong willingness to learn
- Experience in an international and cross-functional environment; cooperation with vendors is an advantage
- Very good knowledge of English; knowledge of German is a plus
