The Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG) is a self-governing scientific organization funded by the German federal and state governments. It currently conducts basic research in the natural sciences and humanities in 85 institutes and research centers in Germany and abroad, making it one of the leading international research institutions with numerous Nobel Prize winners in its ranks.
The MPG stands for excellent science. The aim of fundraising at Max Planck is to actively acquire private funding for additional freedom and research projects. In the Private Research Funding staff unit, our small team looks after donors, foundations, multipliers, supporting members and members of the Board of Trustees.
