We are looking for a (Senior) Data Engineer – Client Integration (all genders) in Munich to join our growing team as soon as possible.
What you can expect from us:
- Development & operation of data pipelines: setup, further development and support of Azure-based data pipelines in customer projects.
- Data integration & modeling: Integration of raw data from Azure Blob Storage/ADLS Gen2, APIs and customer systems; orchestration and transformation of data with tools such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks (Spark/SQL).
- Provision of curated data models: Creation of data models as a basis for BI, analytics and AI/ML applications.
- Collaboration & consulting: Close coordination with agency and market teams, technical consulting and conducting workshops with customers.
- Ensuring quality & scalability: Development of stable, maintainable and scalable data architectures (e.g. layers: raw/curated/serving) with a focus on AI readiness.
- Translation of requirements: Translating complex business requirements into robust, practical data and AI ready solutions.
- Technical responsibility & mentoring: Making technical decisions with regard to time-to-value, maintainability and scalability as well as mentoring and technical leadership of engineers.
- Production readiness & operation: Responsibility for production readiness, monitoring and stable operation of the solutions.
What we expect from you:
- Data Engineering & Architecture: several years of experience in building and operating data pipelines (ideally Azure), very good understanding of data integration, ETL/ELT, data modeling as well as advanced Azure topics (e.g. Databricks, monitoring, CI/CD, cost optimization)
- Analytics & AI use cases: Interest or experience in harnessing data for analytics, automation and AI use cases incl. AI-related topics such as feature engineering, predictive analytics or ML preparation
- Project & client environment: Experience in client-related projects as well as in the consulting, agency, media, B2B or platform environment, incl. willingness to travel for client projects
- Working method & mindset: Distinct hands-on mindset, strong implementation skills and enjoyment of active collaboration
- Communication & collaboration: Ability to convey complex technical content in an understandable, pragmatic and customer-oriented way, ability to work in a team and enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration
- General conditions & skills: Very good command of English (German an advantage) and basic understanding of data quality and/or regulatory requirements
