The Sales & New Business division of the Serviceplan Group determines which brands we’ll be working with tomorrow. As a corporate function, Global Client Development is responsible for marketing, sales, and new business for the entire group— — on a global scale. Our goal: to acquire new clients, build loyalty among existing ones, and enhance the integration of our services. We don’t view client acquisition as a series of isolated actions, but rather as a process spanning the entire customer acquisition funnel —from the initial outreach to the closed opportunity—driven by data and supported by AI.
For this role, we’re looking for someone who can drive sales on their own while simultaneously taking our sales campaigning—in collaboration with the business unit — to the next level —with real-world experience in marketing and sales automation and a keen sense of how to make acquisition faster, smarter, and more successful. You’ll actively sell and bridge a critical gap between sales and data-driven, AI-powered campaign management.
What you can expect from us:
- Sales on an Equal Footing: You’ll proactively identify, develop, and win new clients for the Serviceplan Group—with a genuine focus on closing deals—across the Strategy & Consulting, Creative & Content, Media & Data, and Platform & Technology divisions.
- Sales Campaigning: You’ll design and manage data-driven acquisition campaigns throughout the entire customer acquisition funnel—from preparation and supporting content to generating qualified leads.
- Marketing & Sales Automation: You will build and continuously optimize automated lead nurturing sequences, scoring models, and campaign workflows—ideally using Adobe Marketo Engage and leveraging AI for segmentation, personalization, and content.
- Funnel Management: You will measurably align marketing and sales, make the pipeline and performance transparent, and use lead scoring and analytics to derive priorities and concrete actions.
- Market & Targeting: You’ll conduct market research, define target audiences, and analyze opportunities for new business—using AI tools to gain insights faster—and monitor press coverage, pitches, and industry news to evaluate new business opportunities on short notice.
- Networking: You will build on existing client relationships, increase the visibility of the group and its brands, and network at internal and external events, client gatherings, and through direct outreach.
- Operating Globally: You’ll work within the international context of Global Client Development and develop business development strategies across markets and time zones.
- Shared-service mindset: As a central function, you’ll collaborate with our agencies across brands and disciplines—from creation and content to media and data, and on to digital experience and technology.
What we expect from you:
- A degree in business administration, media management, communication studies, or a comparable completed vocational training program.
- Professional experience in B2B sales/new business is required; experience in an agency and/or media environment is a plus.
- Experience in marketing and sales automation is required—ideally with Adobe Marketo Engage (or comparable platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.).
- An affinity for AI in a marketing and sales context: You use AI tools confidently and with curiosity to improve lead generation, content, and funnel performance—experience with AI-powered campaign or lead management is a definite plus.
- You think in terms of funnels, data, and conversion, combined with genuine sales and closing talent.
- Basic understanding of integrated communication: As part of a shared service team, you need a broad understanding of how strategy, creative, media, and tech work together, and you can credibly communicate our services.
- Passion for sales-oriented work—from lead generation to customer retention.
- Highly outgoing with excellent communication skills; confident and personable demeanor.
- Organizational skills with an eye for detail and project management abilities.
- Enjoy working both in a team and independently, and be enthusiastic about innovative topics.
- Fluency in spoken and written German and English.
