YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility for selected product groups in the field of ophthalmic implants and surgical medical devices.
Product lifecycle management: market monitoring, product positioning, product maintenance, product improvements, and portfolio recommendations.
Analysis of international markets, competitors, clinical trends, customer requirements, and technological developments.
Development and evaluation of new product ideas, including market potential, business case, pricing/positioning proposals, and decision-making documents.
Coordinating with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Management, Production, Sales, Clinical Affairs, and Marketing.
Planning and overseeing new product launches, product changes, and portfolio expansions in national and international markets.
Collaborating with ophthalmic surgeons, hospitals, key opinion leaders (KOLs), distributors, and international customers to identify and prioritize market requirements.
Evaluating market access, reimbursement, and billing issues, as well as their relevance to product strategy and market development.
Evaluating accessories, collaboration, and distribution products in terms of strategic fit, regulatory requirements, and market potential.
Using complaints, customer feedback, and field data to identify product improvements, training needs, and market initiatives.
Creating and maintaining product pitches, training materials, presentations, launch materials, and management reports.
YOUR PROFILE
A completed degree, e.g., in medical technology, natural sciences, health economics, optometry/ophthalmology, industrial engineering, or business administration with a focus on medical technology.
Several years of experience in product management, strategic marketing, business development, or portfolio management of medical devices.
Experience with regulated products that require detailed explanation; ideally in ophthalmology, surgical medical devices, implants, or the IOL field.
Proficiency in conducting market and competitive analyses, developing business cases, product positioning, and preparing decision-making documents.
Strong understanding of collaboration with R&D, Regulatory Affairs (RA), Quality Management (QM), Sales, Clinical Affairs, and external users.
An analytical, business-minded, and results-oriented individual with a high degree of initiative.
Confident in interactions with physicians, hospitals, distributors, and international business partners.
Excellent command of German and English, as well as a willingness to undertake occasional domestic and international business travel.
