We are a young, innovative university located in the heart of the Ruhr metropolitan area. Recognized for excellence in research and teaching, we think in terms of possibilities rather than limitations and develop ideas with a future. We embrace diversity, foster potential, and are committed to educational equity that truly deserves the name.
As a staff unit of the Rector’s Office, we support the university leadership’s work, decision-making, and communication processes. We develop communication strategies, manage both internal and external communications, and thereby contribute to strengthening the UDE’s visibility and reputation.
The Press Office team reports to the public on research, teaching, and higher education policy. It is responsible for media relations, social media channels, and the university’s main websites, and publishes the research magazine and the newsletter.
You’ll be part of the social media team. By designing and coordinating cross-media social media campaigns, you’ll help promote UDE and, as part of the team, manage day-to-day social media operations.
You enjoy writing, are experienced, work quickly, and can tailor content to specific target audiences.
Constantly monitoring the channels is second nature to you—you’ve mastered the ideal balance of content, reach, and followers. Through your monitoring, you contribute to issue management in the Press Department and coordinate with the editorial team and department leadership on necessary actions.
As part of the social media and web editorial team, you’ll develop video and podcast projects.
