Do you find the right words for complex topics and the right ideas for the right words? Then we should get to know each other.
Echolot is an agency for brands, projects, and impact. We’ve been around since 1947—and we’ve never moved as fast as we do today. We work with companies across a wide range of industries—both B2B and B2C—and measure our success by what ultimately makes an impact. We’re more interested in Effies than in design awards.
Before a campaign launches or a website goes live, someone has to clarify what we actually want to say—and then find the right words to express it. To distill an idea so precisely that it wins over clients in meetings and later resonates with the target audience—that’s exactly why we’re looking for you.

Your Responsibilities

Developing Ideas: Working alongside the consulting, design, and development teams, you’ll develop communication strategies, campaign ideas, and copy concepts for print, digital, and social media.
Writing for Every Channel: Headlines and taglines, social media posts, websites and landing pages, brochures, and presentations. You’ll find the right tone for every format.
Giving brands a voice: You’ll help shape brand positioning, tone, and style guides, ensuring that a brand sounds like itself everywhere.
Presenting concepts: You prepare concepts, storyboards, and ideas for client meetings, present them, and can explain why they work.
Oversee implementation: You ensure that the final result matches the intended outcome: true to the idea, in line with the client’s brand guidelines, and legally sound.
Measuring impact: You analyze how texts perform and optimize them, including to ensure they are found in search engines and AI responses.
Managing your part: You keep track of deadlines and budgets for text production. As you gain experience, you’ll take the lead on creative projects yourself.

What You'll Bring to the Table

A college degree, such as in communication, journalism, German studies, media studies, marketing, or design; vocational training in this field; completion of a copywriting course; or an internship.
Initial practical experience from an internship, a part-time student job, or work at an agency is a plus, but not required. A few samples of your work—gladly from your studies or personal projects—tell us more than any transcript.
A keen sense of language and style: You can express yourself concisely or explain things in detail, depending on what the text calls for.
You think in terms of ideas, not just wording, and you take feedback on board without immediately giving up on your idea.
You interact with clients and external partners—such as photographers or production companies—in a confident and professional manner.
You keep up with developments in communication, media, and culture, and draw inspiration from them.
You’re comfortable using common presentation tools. You use AI tools as a sparring partner and know when your own wording is better.
Excellent, stylistically confident German and good English, both spoken and written.
Good to know: We primarily work with Microsoft Teams, Asana, and MOCO. If you’re already familiar with these tools, all the better. If not, we’ll teach you.
And to be clear: Juniors are welcome. You don’t have to know everything. What’s more important is that you’re willing to take on responsibility and would rather ask once more than make an assumption.

Benefits

30+ vacation days: Plenty of time to relax—with more than 30 vacation days a year, you’ll have plenty of time to unwind or set off on your next adventure.
Whether it’s BAV, VL, or private supplemental insurance: We’ll help you plan for the future wisely.
Your upgrade for everyday life: Take advantage of our bike leasing program and various employee discounts on tech, travel, fashion, home goods, and more.
Together, we can achieve more: Through regular team events, initiatives, and volunteer work, we strengthen ourselves and others.
We live and breathe open communication—whether in the Kitchen Club or at inspiring c_sessions: We engage in dialogue and learn from one another.
Remote work: Typically, you’ll work from home two out of every three days. Other models are also possible and common here.
The full toolkit: You’ll get an inside look at brand management, campaigns, and digital development—not just a snapshot of them.
A clear path to Key Account Management, if that’s the direction you want to take.
Hamburg or Stuttgart: You decide which location you’ll work at.
A team where you’re encouraged to ask questions and get answers.
We’re open to trying out new tools—including AI—and keep the ones that prove effective in our day-to-day project work.
