Echolot is an agency specializing in branding, projects, and impact. We’ve been in business since 1947, and we’ve never moved as fast as we do today. We work with companies across a wide range of industries—both B2B and B2C—and measure our success by what ultimately makes an impact. We’re more interested in Effies than in design awards.
Your Responsibilities
As a consultant, you are echolot’s strategic voice—whether in an initial meeting with a new company or in a strategy session with a long-standing client. You identify where a client stands and where they can go from there, and turn that insight into meaningful projects. You serve as a sparring partner for your colleagues in project management and key account management: you share consulting methodologies, strengthen their consulting skills, and help them engage with clients more confidently.
Advising New Clients: You conduct initial meetings with potential clients, understand their current situation, and demonstrate where echolot can make an impact. You contribute the strategic direction during pitches and proposal development.
Developing clients: You support existing clients as a strategic partner. You identify new needs early on and work with them to develop the next steps for their brand, campaigns, and growth.
Refining tasks: You dig deeper to understand what’s really behind an inquiry, analyze the market, competition, and target audiences, and give projects a clear strategic direction.
Developing strategies: Together with the creative and development teams, you develop positioning and communication strategies and present them to the client.
Empowering Colleagues: You serve as a sparring partner for project management and key account management, share consulting methodologies, provide guidance on planning, costing, and challenging client situations, and collaborate on refining processes and standards—including moving toward agile work methods.
Keeping an eye on impact: You work with clients to define how success is measured and ensure that results are incorporated into future consulting work.
What You'll Bring to the Table
A college degree, such as in marketing, communications, management, or business administration, or a comparable qualification.
Several years of experience in consulting, ideally at an agency. A background in project management is a plus: You know how to budget and manage projects, and can advise the team on these matters.
Experience in new client acquisition, from initial meetings through pitches to proposals.
You think strategically and can explain complex concepts in simple terms.
You listen carefully, ask questions, and express your own opinions, even when dealing with clients.
You enjoy sharing your knowledge and have experience mentoring or coaching colleagues.
You’re familiar with agile work methods from hands-on experience, not just from textbooks.
Numbers don’t intimidate you. You prefer to base your arguments on data rather than gut feelings and use digital tools and AI for research and analysis.
Excellent German and good English, both spoken and written.
Good to know: We primarily work with Microsoft Teams, Asana, and MOCO. If you’re already familiar with these tools, all the better. If not, we’ll teach you how to use them.
