We are looking to hire a Commercial Manager (all genders) for Mediaplus Germany, part of the Serviceplan Group hybrin, to be based in Munich or work remotely, as soon as possible.
What you can expect from us:
- Supporting and assuming partial responsibility for pitches while simultaneously reducing the agency’s risk, as well as making decisions to withdraw from unprofitable pitches
- Preparing, benchmarking, and ensuring the quality of fee proposals, including CPPs, pay factors, PRF models, and inflation hedging models
- Commercial review and interpretation of service catalogs, as well as the formulation of comments and caveats
- Supporting risk and profitability analyses for pitches and existing clients (e.g., Pitch Renta, Renta Cockpit)
- International coordination of commercial proposals, as well as uploading and submission via auditor tools
- Support in managing client profitability, including margin improvement, cost avoidance, and control of over- and under-deliveries
- Quarterly monitoring of profitability and identification of measures to prevent overservicing
- Support in renegotiating fees and commercial safeguards with client teams and procurement
- Support in managing media audits, including providing feedback, challenging results, preparing audit presentations, and negotiating methodology
- Coordinating all audit documentation and aligning GMP trackings and deal books
- Maintenance of international benchmark databases (CPPs, pay factors, tech costs, fees) and use of internal and external benchmarks
- Support in developing national and international fee models and benchmarking existing fee models
- Supporting the creation of commercial playbooks, consistent contract interpretation, and governance guidelines
What we expect from you:
- A strong analytical, structured, and process-oriented approach to work, with a high degree of initiative and a focus on results
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, as well as proficiency with MS Office—particularly Excel—and AI applications (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot)
- Ideally, experience with auditing tools such as GMP, as well as a passion for cross-team collaboration
- Approx. 3–5 years of professional experience in a commercial setting, e.g., as a media auditor, in management consulting, or within media/agency structures
- Substantial experience in media performance tracking on the agency side
- Experience in close international collaboration with agencies and audit partners
- Liaising with tracking teams and, as needed, with Legal, Contracts, Finance, and Strategic Procurement
