Your Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the various departments, you will ensure data protection compliance for all processing activities, both when evaluating existing processes and when designing new processing operations.
- You will ensure that the record of processing activities is complete and appropriately documented, secure the necessary contractual arrangements for data processing, and, in coordination with data processors, ensure that all processing is carried out in compliance with data protection regulations.
- You will independently carry out recurring review tasks such as annual checks, audits, or risk assessments; escalate relevant data protection incidents; and ensure the traceable implementation of the specified measures.
- In addition, you coordinate collaboration between business departments, data protection lawyers, and the Data Protection Officer, particularly when legal assessments are required or high-risk processing activities need to be reviewed.
- As a sounding board, you’ll support the development and implementation of new ideas, processes, and technologies, and contribute internal and external data protection expertise to the department in a variety of ways.
- You will continuously and collaboratively advance data protection compliance within the department, including through the use of artificial intelligence applications.
- In addition, you will take on cross-departmental tasks in the area of governance, such as the internal control system or contract management.
Your Qualifications
- You have several years of experience in data protection coordination under the GDPR, and have successfully applied this expertise, particularly in large B2C companies with a very large number of end customers. Ideally, you have worked in both marketing environments and IT-related fields.
- You have a strong understanding of complex data flows, tracking technologies, interfaces, and modern MarTech systems, and you have experience providing data protection support and consulting during the implementation of MarTech solutions.
- You are known for your meticulous approach to work, strong problem-solving and consulting skills, and excellent communication abilities.
- You know how to communicate complex data protection issues in a practical, audience-appropriate, and solution-oriented manner.
- You are highly self-motivated and value a supportive, collegial work environment with open lines of communication across departments and hierarchical levels.
