With approximately 150 employees, we are an agile unit driving the digital transformation of public administration in Germany—lean, specialized, and with the freedom to innovate. As the implementation unit of the IT Planning Council, we enhance the capacity to act, create synergies, and connect stakeholders. Our collaboration is based on openness, trust, and mutual respect—diversity on an equal footing shapes how we work together. What unites us is the motivation to actively shape the public administration of tomorrow.
Here are your responsibilities:
You will work in the Dialogue Staff Unit on the design, organization, and further development of events for the IT Planning Council and FITKO, and you will professionally implement them in collaboration with the community management team and the relevant departments.
You will develop appropriate event formats for various topics and target audiences and design them in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate professional exchange, networking, and dialogue.
You will oversee the organizational implementation of your events and coordinate with agencies, venues, and other service providers. In doing so, you will manage the necessary contracting and procurement processes and reliably monitor deadlines, quality, and available resources.
You will evaluate events and further develop our offerings. To do this, you will draw on the experience gained from event execution and feedback from participants, identify areas for improvement, and incorporate these into future events.
FITKO sees itself as the joint implementation unit of the IT Planning Council. Therefore, as needed—in accordance with the decisions of the IT Planning Council and its strategic priorities—you will also take on cross-departmental tasks.
FITKO (Federal IT Cooperation)
What you'll bring to the table:
A completed degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s/University of Applied Sciences diploma) in a program with a focus on event management, or alternatively, equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through at least three years of professional experience in event management.
Since event planning often involves multiple tasks running concurrently, you are able to coordinate several tasks and projects in a structured and independent manner.
As a team player with strong communication skills, you always act with respect and focus on the common goal. You possess excellent networking and interpersonal skills, strong interdisciplinary thinking, as well as methodological and media skills.
You enjoy taking responsibility for your work, are always open to new ways of collaborating, and look forward to contributing your ideas to the further development of FITKO as a whole.
You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in German (C2 level).
You are willing to travel, including for events lasting several days (approximately six scheduled events per year), and this is not a problem for you.
