Telling stories. Connecting people. Shaping the future.

Your responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the strategic and operational development of
communications and for raising the profile of Sparkasse Hannover as
a high-performing financial partner, an attractive employer, and a committed
force for change in its region. With journalistic intuition, you will identify topics
both within the organization and in the regional context, develop original
storytelling approaches, and translate financial achievements, the public
mission, and social engagement into vivid, target-audience-appropriate
stories. You will design creative content and formats for internal
and external communications as well as for relevant social media channels.

A particular focus is on the authentic positioning of
board members both internally and externally, especially on LinkedIn.
You will develop customized thematic frameworks, prepare speeches, articles, and
public appearances, and accompany the Executive Board to selected
business, networking, and social events. There, you will
you identify opportunities for conversation, pick up on relevant ideas, and ensure
effective follow-up communication and sustained relationship management.
You support Sparkasse events conceptually, editorially,
and digitally—before, during, and after the event.
You will lead and develop the communications team, provide creative input,
promote vibrant internal communication, and professionalize
topic planning, content production, and impact measurement. You make thoughtful use of digital trends and
AI-powered tools. You work closely with the
Executive Board, the functional departments, and the division management of the Executive Board Staff /
Communications / Affiliates; the official
role of press spokesperson remains with that unit. You will work in a special
position of trust with diverse points of contact and play a key role in
communications work closely tied to the Executive Board.

Your qualifications:

You have a college degree, for example in
communication or media studies, journalism, economics,
political science, or social sciences, or a comparable
qualification. In addition, you have several years of successful experience in
corporate communications, public relations, journalism, agency
or association communications. Applications from various industries
and institutions are expressly welcome; a background in the
financial sector is not a requirement. You combine a strategic
understanding of communication with excellent verbal expression,
editorial proficiency, and creative storytelling. You understand the
mechanisms of social media, develop compelling text, image, and
video formats, and can present complex economic and social
topics in an accessible way. Experience in supporting and
positioning board members or executive management, in
event and networking communications, as well as in leading
employees or teams is particularly valuable. You organize
projects in a structured manner and reliably implement ideas at the operational level.
On a personal level, you impress others with your curiosity, empathy, creativity,
social grace, and enjoyment of interacting with people. You have
a strong network in the Hanover region, identify issues and opportunities,
forge connections, and engage confidently and authentically with entrepreneurs, politicians,
the cultural sector, and the public. As a people-oriented
leader, you inspire your team, take the initiative, and
combine strategic vision with pragmatic execution.
Discretion, loyalty, and a keen sense of how to collaborate with the
Executive Board are second nature to you.
