WISTA Management GmbH, a state-owned company organized under private law, is responsible for the development, marketing, and operation of various high-tech sites in Berlin. These include Berlin Adlershof, Germany’s largest science and technology park. With the seven natural science institutes of Humboldt University of Berlin, eleven non-university research institutions, and over 1,350 companies, the area offers a unique foundation for teaching, research, development, production, and services in cutting-edge technology fields. We are currently seeking a Head of Networks and Projects (m/f/d).
The primary work location is Berlin.
The position is permanent and is compensated in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for the public sector of the federal states (TV-L), pay grade 15, plus an annual bonus.

Your Responsibilities

  • Establishing and maintaining successful networking activities for WISTA Management with all relevant stakeholders from academia, politics, and business, as well as local partners and clients at all WISTA locations—in Berlin and internationally
  • Developing new formats to attract prospective tenants and new networking partners, including knowledge transfer from academia and international contacts
  • Supporting management in the development of new areas of focus and projects
  • Raising awareness of WISTA Management GmbH and representing the company externally, including hosting delegations, giving presentations, and participating in panels, etc.
  • Leading the department with the goal of effective collaboration and achieving objectives

Your Qualifications

  • A university degree (Diplom or Master’s) in a relevant field such as business administration, communication studies, urban development, or a comparable field
  • Very good command of German and English
  • Knowledge of and contacts within Berlin’s startup, entrepreneurial, academic, and business communities
  • Experience collaborating with public administration and utilizing grant funds
  • Professional experience:
  • Several years of experience in the business and academic sectors within an environment focused on economic development
  • Leadership experience
  • Project management experience (knowledge transfer, economic development, brand building)
