The Communications and Marketing division is responsible for HENSOLDT’s holistic corporate communications as well as the marketing communications strategy derived from it, which is based on the overarching corporate strategy. It supports the business units, central and support functions, and business development by coordinating all internal and external communications and marketing activities. In doing so, it aims to strengthen the HENSOLDT brand in the long term, actively drive cultural change, and ensure consistent, target-group-oriented communication. The Trade Shows and Events division is responsible for the comprehensive organization and management of all HENSOLDT’s participation in conferences, trade shows, and events—both internally and externally.

Your Responsibilities

  • Independent operational planning, coordination, organization, and execution of local projects and events at the Ulm location
  • Primary responsibility for site visits, guided tours, and local events, including content development and coordination
  • Budget responsibility and cost control for the local events and projects carried out
  • Independent setup and takedown of trade show and event infrastructure—particularly light boxes and other technical exhibits—to ensure the smooth running of events on-site
  • Supporting and executing individual events, including those outside the site. Willingness to travel may be required in certain cases
  • Management and approval processes for content and presentations in close collaboration with all stakeholders
  • Close collaboration with the Politics, Marketing, and Sales departments, as well as with external service providers (e.g., booth construction, logistics, hotels)
  • Ensuring the smooth execution of projects while adhering to time, budget, and quality requirements
  • Application of best practices in event and project management, as well as the use of digital tools for process optimization
  • Supporting the development of innovative event formats and hybrid event formats
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and security requirements during the planning and execution of events, particularly when handling sensitive information and security-related content
  • Monitoring and reporting on event KPIs to measure success and continuously optimize event formats

Your Qualifications

  • A college degree, ideally in marketing, communications, event management, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in project management and marketing, preferably with a focus on event management
  • Proficiency with MS Office; experience with project management and event tools (e.g., MS Project) is desirable
  • Knowledge in the areas of corporate branding, change management, and digital communication is a plus
  • A highly structured and independent work style with a strong sense of initiative
  • Strong teamwork and adaptability, as well as excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in dealing with political stakeholders and collaborating with external service providers
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on short-notice assignments and to be based in Ulm
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English (business fluent); knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus
