We stand for in-depth expertise—and the courage to break new ground. As part of an open, interdisciplinary team, we refine ideas, experiment with new formats, and work together to find solutions that offer our customers real added value. That’s why we’re looking for you: a Product Manager (m/f/d) who, with a knack for products, organizational skills, and editorial insight, will guide legal specialty offerings from concept to successful implementation.
Where You Can Find Fulfillment
In this role, you will manage existing products and develop new ones for the public sector and related target groups. In this way, you will actively contribute to the further development of our publishing portfolio.
You’ll monitor the market, the competition, and relevant legal developments; gather feedback from customers and the sales team; evaluate trends and potential; and use these insights to drive the further development of the product portfolio.
In doing so, you will further develop existing products and design new information offerings for public administration and related target groups—both digital and print—and contribute your subject-matter expertise to marketing and product communication.
You will manage product development from conception through publication, coordinate deadlines, and keep an eye on financial goals.
Your responsibilities include revenue planning for your products; you will assess pricing and cost issues and prioritize product optimization measures within the available budgets.
You are responsible for collaborating with authors and editors—from recruitment and subject-matter coordination to contract and royalty matters.
Together with the editorial department, you evaluate the use of AI-supported processes and drive digitalization and process improvements.
You will work closely and constructively with program management, the editorial department, production, IT, content management, marketing, and sales.
What We Expect from You
You have a degree in public administration or law, or you have a comparable qualification and experience in product management at a specialized publishing house.
You have some relevant professional experience. Ideally, you have already been involved in the development of digital products or business models.
You are familiar with the public sector and its target audiences, or you are interested in legal, political, and social developments and their impact on public administration.
You think strategically and commercially and have experience with product and pricing strategies. You can translate market and target audience needs into viable product ideas.
You have experience managing projects and coordinate various stakeholders and requirements in a structured and reliable manner.
You excel at confident communication and enjoy working with authors, editors, and internal and external stakeholders.
You are open to digital transformation and new formats, and you enjoy continuously refining products and processes.
You work independently, are solution-oriented, and think critically, maintaining a clear overview even when juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
