The Lessing Academy e.V. is a nonprofit academic and cultural institution based in Wolfenbüttel. It is dedicated in particular to researching and disseminating knowledge about the life, work, and influence of Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, the European Enlightenment, and German-Jewish cultural history. Its work includes research and educational projects, publications, academic conferences, and public cultural events.
Your Responsibilities
* Assisting with the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of
projects
* Helping to organize and facilitate events
* Contributing to the conception, design, and implementation of
workshops with students
* Researching and preparing content
* Managing and maintaining our social media channels
* Creating and editing texts as well as image, audio, and
video content
* Assisting with press and public relations work
* Supporting office organization at our headquarters
* Taking on additional tasks related to our projects and
events
Your Profile
* Interest in literature, culture, and social issues
* Excellent written communication skills and a strong command of
the German language
* Enjoyment of presenting content in a clear and audience-appropriate manner

* Familiarity with social media and a knack for identifying suitable topics and
presentation formats
* Affinity for media and an interest in working with audio and
video technology
* Ability to work independently, meticulously, and reliably
* Proficiency with standard Office applications
* Knowledge of Canva and Adobe InDesign is a plus; alternatively,
willingness to learn
* Enjoyment of working with students and of conveying scientific and
cultural content in an age-appropriate manner
* Willingness to occasionally work during the
evening hours at events
* Enrollment at a college or university when employed as a
working student
* Experience in project work, event organization, or
press and public relations is a plus, but not a
requirement
