The ADAC Südbayern e.V. regional club was founded in 1903. Today, approximately 400 employees work at our 17 offices in Southern Bavaria. Here, we handle matters related to mobility, travel and vacations, insurance, and, of course, ADAC membership.

As a Senior PR & Communications Manager, you’ll play a central role in ADAC Südbayern’s press, media, and public relations efforts. You’ll independently drive communication projects forward, help strategically develop our communication activities, and advise departments on communication matters. In this role, you’ll see yourself both as an experienced communications professional and as a driving force behind modern communication formats.
In the future, this position offers the opportunity to take on the role of Editor-in-Chief (CvD) of the Corporate Newsroom and/or a team leadership role within the communications team.
Your responsibilities will include, in particular:
Actively planning, managing, and implementing the press, media, and public relations efforts of ADAC Südbayern e.V.
Developing and implementing communication strategies and communication projects
Advising departments on matters related to communication and public relations
Maintaining, expanding, and strategically developing our network of journalists and relevant stakeholders
Responding to media inquiries and planning, organizing, and moderating press events
Drafting press releases, statements, speeches, and welcoming remarks, and developing other communication formats for various target audiences
Coordinating and editing selected publications of ADAC Südbayern e.V., particularly the Bavaria regional section of ADAC Motorwelt and our newsletter
Developing and creating content for digital communication channels
Analyzing and evaluating communication initiatives based on relevant KPIs and deriving optimization measures
Actively shaping and further developing editorial workflows
Your Profile
A successfully completed degree in journalism, communication, public relations, media studies, or a comparable qualification
Several years of solid professional experience in a communications department, press office, PR agency, editorial office, or comparable position
Extensive experience in press and media relations, as well as a very good understanding of modern communication strategies
Demonstrable experience in independently managing communication projects and collaborating with various stakeholders, agencies, or partners
Strategic thinking, strong initiative, a high sense of responsibility, and an equally strong hands-on approach
A confident, engaging, and professional demeanor when interacting with media representatives, stakeholders, and internal contacts
Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work well in a team, and a willingness to eventually take on responsibility for editorial processes and projects
Excellent writing skills and a keen sense for different formats, target audiences, and communication occasions
Experience in online communication
Experience in analyzing, reporting on, and measuring the success of communication initiatives, as well as experience using analytics tools
Ideally, knowledge of the structures and working methods of associations or clubs
Class B driver’s license
