Developing the city of the future as
deputy press spokesperson (m/f/d)
with a focus on online communication and social media full-time
at the earliest possible date for press and public relations work in the Office for Strategic Management and Communication
What can you do?
- Your main task is strategic, cross-media storytelling:
- You will be responsible for and further develop the strategy of the city's social media channels
- You will continue to expand online communication, especially with regard to crisis communication and the employer brand
- You will create content for the social media channels in front of and behind the camera, operate community and content management
- You write press releases and texts, strategically plan content for the website
- You organize and accompany press events and prepare urban topics cross-media for all channels
- You will be actively involved in communication campaigns, from planning to implementation and evaluation
- You write greetings and speeches for the Lord Mayor
- You work closely with the offices and facilities of the city administration
- You will maintain and expand the network with media professionals
What should you bring with you?
- You have a degree in journalism, communications or marketing or an equivalent qualification (foreign degrees must be recognized in Germany)
- You have gained professional experience in cross-media work in editorial offices, as a freelance journalist (m/f/d) or in press relations
- You have initial experience with crisis communication
- You are familiar with social media, content creation, PR and storytelling
- You have an excellent writing style for journalistic texts in all forms
- You are experienced in working with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, video editing and CMS systems
- You have gained knowledge in search engine optimization (SEO, SEA) and in the use of analysis tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
- You are interested in local politics and the work of a city administration and want to communicate this in a transparent and understandable way
- You have a flair for brand management and have already gained initial experience in the areas of corporate design and corporate identity
- You are resilient, a team player, solution-oriented and able to work independently
- You are willing to work evenings and weekends
