Your new team:
The Newsroom is responsible for effectively communicating the substantive and policy work of Deutsche Umwelthilfe through public relations and media channels. This is where all aspects of day-to-day external communications—including press relations and digital media—as well as campaign communications converge. The position focuses on social media communication for our campaigns and works at the interface with our Campaigns department.
Planning, designing, and implementing the annual Environmental Media Award, including organizing the submission process, establishing and maintaining contact with award winners and presenters, and managing the awards gala
Collaborating in the DUH Newsroom
Creating press releases, web content, and social media posts in text, audio, images, and video
Maintaining media contacts and managing the community
Your Profile:
Experience in communications and social media management
Ideally, experience in event management
Ideally, experience in journalism and knowledge of the media landscape
Proficiency in relevant computer programs and common social media platforms
Quick learner with a strong interest in communications
Reliability, attention to detail, and a keen interest in environmental and consumer protection policy issues
Very good command of German
