HENSOLDT is growing significantly, and so is public interest in defense technology. Communication plays a key role in how the company positions itself and how it navigates this transformation. In this role, you will shape the direction of external and internal communications and help build a modern, integrated communications function.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for HENSOLDT’s external and internal communications, ranging from media relations and employee communications to communications on behalf of top management. You will report directly to the Head of Communications & Marketing. In a growing environment relevant to security policy, you will ensure the company’s consistent positioning both internally and externally and help shape the expansion of an integrated communications organization.
Leading HENSOLDT’s external communications: media relations, public positioning, and reputation management
Cultivating strong relationships with journalists and opinion leaders in print, broadcast, and digital media, and positioning HENSOLDT as a leading European defense electronics company
Responsibility for internal communications and effectively communicating strategic priorities and company developments to employees
Supporting the Executive Board and senior management in sensitive communication situations and acting as a sparring partner
Responsibility for crisis communication and issue management—from scenario planning to advising the Executive Board in the event of an emergency
Managing communication during company-wide transformation and change initiatives
Coordinating internal and external channels in close collaboration with marketing, branding, trade shows, and the digital channel teams
Leading and developing the External & Internal Communications team
Your Profile
A successfully completed college degree in a relevant field
Several years of leadership experience in corporate communications, ideally with responsibility for media relations and internal communications
Proven track record of success in strategic communications for complex organizations
Experience in crisis communications and handling sensitive, high-profile issues
Practical experience in transformation and change communication, including narrative development and stakeholder management
Excellent knowledge of the media landscape in print, broadcast, and digital, as well as experience with integrated multichannel communication
Confident demeanor when interacting with the Executive Board and leadership teams, as well as strong political judgment
A collaborative leadership style, resilience, and composure under pressure
Experience in the industrial, technology, defense, or aviation sectors is a plus
Fluent command of German and English
